Sprite, 1 yrs old, was an owner surrender by a single mom who could no longer care for him. He is a beautiful, sweet, shy and lovable boy! He craves attention, yet he’s timid and shy when meeting people. Sprite is still very much a puppy and loves chewing on his toys and bone.
March 2010 Update
We first became involved in MTGRR shortly after our beloved golden “Shadow” passed away at after being with us for 15 years. His passing left such a void in our home and hearts, we missed him so much. We were definitely not ready to get another dog yet, but decided that fostering golden’s would help ease our sadness over his passing and provide a much needed service at the same time.
TJ was the 2nd golden we fostered and we fell in love with him immediately. He is so smart and laid back; he was such a great fit it felt like he had always been part of our family. He was already housebroken and knew many basic commands; we knew he was meant to stay with us. Understanding the need and importance of fostering, we continued with fostering other golden’s. It also provided TJ with some doggie friends to play with.
Then came Sprite, who was the complete opposite of TJ. He was shy, timid, anxious and full of energy. He wasn’t housebroken; he had to be picked up to get in the car, and he barked anytime someone came down our stairs. He followed me everywhere in the house and we quickly bonded. He was so sweet, loving and eager to please, always bringing us a sock or shoe that he found. I fell in love again and so, he became a part of our family as well. Sprite is now completely housebroken, has just finished up his Basic Family Manners obedience classes, and willingly jumps into the car for a ride. TJ & Sprite are big buddies. They love playing tug o’ war, keep away and going to the dog park together. We couldn’t have asked for two more loving, loyal, sweet & gentle companions. They are a blessing.
