Jake was surrendered by his family after his neuter surgery was botched and they could not afford his followup care. MTGRR took him, paid for corrective surgery and got him fixed up good as new.
Jake was adopted by a wonderful family that lives on 1000 acres. Although Jake is an indoor dog, he has learned to love the long hikes on their property. The forever family reports: "Jake went on his first long hike in the woods. You could tell he was a city dog when he first started out. But, now that he's been out and about a bit more he is getting a sense now that this walking in the woods thing is what he was born to do!"
